About Austin
Austin Taylor is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in children, adolescents, adults, couples, addicts, and families. He enjoys helping children, teens, and adults work through problems that stall personal growth and encourages autonomy for everyone. Many of the interventions practiced by Austin help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and maladaptive behaviors through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. He utilizes art, songs, and media to help articulate experiences that may be difficult for people to describe.
Austin’s work with couples stems from the belief that neither person is wrong in an argument and that most conflict is caused by miscommunication. A lack of bias informs most of his work, helping clients feel comfortable in a therapeutic setting. Austin has experience with ADHD, autism diagnoses, and behavioral issues that can disrupt family functioning. For adults, he works with families, couples, and individuals to help identify areas of growth in a supportive and honest way. Clients would describe Austin as empathetic, factual, and curious.
Due to his work with a wide variety of clients, Austin excels at meeting the client where they are and working towards a solution in a way that incorporates discussion and vulnerability. A major focus is the power that the client has and how to get it back. He has been providing therapy since 2024.
