About Kelly

As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Kelly K. Duggan incorporates a variety of therapeutic approaches in the treatment of individuals to tailor a customized, client-centered therapeutic plan to aid in understanding and treating underlying mental health concerns.

Her compassion, passion and commitment for others toward developing strong therapeutic alliances are at the core of her practice. She uses a trauma-focused approach, viewing early attachment and developmental psychic injury as a precursor to many mental health disorders.

As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), she is skilled in treating trauma, complex trauma and PTSD, in addition to alcohol and other substance abuse issues, co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, mood and affective disorders, psychosis, and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Duggan has worked extensively in the public and private sectors providing psychological evaluations and consultation services to specialty courts. Dr. Duggan also provides forensic psychological evaluations and consultation services to many counties throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Additionally, she consults for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.

Dr. Duggan has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings providing evaluation, individual, and group services. She has extensive experience working within the criminal justice system, providing Sex-Offender Treatment to adult males, individual and group therapies to adolescents, men, and women.

Educational Background

Dr. Duggan received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology and a Postdoctoral Master’s degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Certifications, Awards & Recognition

She is a strong advocate for her patients and raising awareness of mental health issues through trainings and education. Dr. Duggan has been involved with Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) and Crisis Intervention Partnership (CIP) training to law enforcement and other legal and public service entities since 2008. She has presented numerous workshops and trainings in Wisconsin and nationally.

She was selected by American Psychological Association as a delegate to promote International Psychology in Russia in 2009.

She teaches graduate psychology courses at Alverno College.
