Marietta M. Wojtecka, Psy.D.
Dr. Wojtecka is clinical psychologist with an integrative, eclectic approach to psychotherapy that draws from humanistic-existential, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and trauma-informed frameworks.
Her work is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity of the human experience, emphasizing meaning-making, emotional authenticity, and the innate drive toward growth and healing. At the core of her practice is a strong commitment to empathic attunement and relational depth. S
he strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, understood, and safe enough to explore their inner world. Her psychodynamic lens allows her to help clients uncover patterns rooted in early relationships, attachment dynamics, and internal conflicts, while her existential orientation supports individuals in confronting questions of identity, purpose, freedom, and life transitions.
Through Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, she works collaboratively with clients to develop practical skills for managing anxiety, depression, and everyday stressors, while empowering them to build healthier ways of thinking and responding to life challenges. She specializes in working with trauma and its neurobiological impact, integrating insights from neuroscience to understand how experiences shape the brain, nervous system, and behavior. She incorporates elements of somatic awareness and regulation to support clients in restoring a sense of safety and integration.
In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Wojtecka has experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessments, including comprehensive evaluations for diagnostic clarification, understanding cognitive functioning, personality and emotional insight, and treatment planning. Her assessment work is guided by both scientific rigor and clinical intuition, allowing for a nuanced understanding of each individual’s strengths and challenges.
Dr. Wojtecka obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology as well as a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University before that.
